Description

The Integrated Territorial Investment for the Northern Sporades Islands is a Development Strategy for the territorial unit of the islands of the Northern Sporades (Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos) in the Region of Thessaly, designed by the Region of Thessaly within the framework of the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020. The Operational Plan of the Northern Sporades ITI is a tool for the islands’ development. Its goal is to implement an Integrated Strategic Plan that will act as a driver for the sustainable development of both the Northern Sporades and the Region of Thessaly as a whole. This comprehensive approach emphasizes the promotion and protection of natural and cultural resources, as well as the sustainable development of local communities and economies.

Moreover, it solves the problem of the islands’ geographic isolation, as it is called to manage the transport and interconnectivity particularities of the island complex, both between the islands themselves and their connection to Thessaly as a whole.
