Cultural & Environmental Route – the Cultural Route of Olympia Odos

Olympia Odos has been collaborating with the DIAZOMA Association since 2014 for the promotion of the Cultural Route of Olympia Odos.

Along the motorway, one comes across some of the most famous and important archaeological sites of Greece, as well as areas of particular environmental importance.

Among them:

• the monuments at Elefsina,
• Heraion,
• Ancient Corinth and Acrocorinth,
• Stymfalia,
• Sikyon,
• the gorge of Vouraikos
• the ancient theatres of Aigeira and Kyrenia,
• the Salt Lake of Aigio
• the monuments and the archaeological park of Patra.

Our goal is:

• to highlight these cultural and environmental monuments,
• to help create collaborations between all the productive forces (catering companies, hotels, farmers and shops),
• and, finally, to set in motion a growth potential in all the areas along the motorway.

The key issue to our collaboration with DIAZOMA is to link a tourist/cultural brand product –the Cultural Route of Olympia Odos– with sustainability and viable development of all areas along the motorway.
