Partnership between Diazoma and the “Teacher Education Program” of the Athens University of Economics and Business

Diazoma and the “Teacher Education Program” (TEP) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) established a promising collaboration devoted to prospective high school teachers. On Wednesday the 28th of February 2018, Diazoma and TEP signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation, seeking to mutually support educational activities in the field of cultural heritage management.

TEP is the single qualified program of its kind, certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Education. The program’s primary objective is to prepare future teacher leaders with a solid background in economics, administration or IT, and is modeled after the Teacher Education Program of Harvard School and the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Moreover, AUEB’s TEP has a robust outward-looking orientation, habitually establishing partnerships with scientific institutions abroad.

Diazoma and TEP’s collaboration will help students gain theoretical and practical experience in dealing with contemporary cultural heritage management issues. At the same time, the two partners aspire to mobilize students into raising awareness for monuments preservation and promotion. Diazoma and TEP will initiate their partnership with a jointly organized conference in AUEB’s premises on March 16, 2018.
