The 16th Conference of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) took place on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th of October at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. The main topic was “Greek Tourism: Development and Sustainability. For the economy, for society, for the environment “.

During the conference, the president of SETE Mr. Yiannis Retsos presented the ambitious strategy of SETE for a holistic sustainable tourism development, which will essentially link tourism to the agri-food sector, as well as to culture.

Mr. Retsos pointed out that: “Every region of our country has a wealth of both local agri-food products, as well as cultural heritage. It is our priority, not just to preserve them, but to connect them and promote them through tourism“.

Within the framework of the above actions, “DIAZOMA” and SETE are joining forces to design and implement holistic programs that will link our cultural to the agri-food sector and will enhance the sustainable development of local society and of the economy.
